Cyprus was one of the first to announce the opening of the tourist season 2021

Rumors that Cyprus opens borders from March 1 , 2021 for tourists from all countries were confirmed by official information from the Deputy Minister of the country Savvas Perdios.

In short, tourists arriving in the country will have to submit an official document confirming the testing. Moreover, tourists from countries that have fallen into the so-called red zone, which, unfortunately, includes Russia, take another test upon arrival in Cyprus.

Accordingly, travelers who have confirmed that they have not tested positive for the virus can safely move around the country without fear of quarantine measures and other restrictions.

Country groups were distributed as follows:

1. All countries of the European Union

2. Countries in the European Economic Area, namely Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Iceland.

3. Third Time Restricted Countries: (EU document 2020/912 dated 30 June 2020)

4. And the part of the list that is of most interest to Russians: Russia, Great Britain, Israel, Ukraine, Belarus, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia.

Accordingly, all countries will be marked with certain colors, reflecting, according to the government of Cyprus, the situation with the pandemic in these countries.

• Green Zone: tourists from these countries dont have to worry about testing.
• «Orange zone»: tourists from these countries will be required to present negative test results when boarding the plane.
• The «red zone» is ours. The Russians show negative test results when boarding the plane and take another test at the airport upon arrival. Well, thanks for that too!
