Who was in St. Petersburg on the embankment of the Griboyedov Canal, near the Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood, characters located there in rather shabby costumes of Peter I and Catherine II. I counted at least three Peter and two Catherine.
It was clear from their bored appearance that there were not many people who wanted to take a unique photo with them. More precisely, they were not at all. Tourists, especially the Chinese, seeing them from afar, generally preferred to stay away from them. In general, the work of the imperial family did not go well that day.
Somehow I even managed to observe the vacationer between the photo sessions «Peter I». He smoked on the sidelines, shyly hiding behind his cocked hat (hat).
I, in turn, also had no desire to be photographed with them, and decided to just capture myself against the background of the Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood.
And since I didnt have a selfie stick with me, I had to stretch my hand several times and catch myself in the frame. From the outside it was probably terribly funny.

The photos didn't want to come out in any way, and I had already decided to give up this business, when I suddenly heard behind me someones voice:
— Take a picture of you?
Turning around, I saw Catherine II, not the first freshness, two steps away from me (sorry for the pun), who is the kindest she looked at me with ingratiating eyes.
Apparently, having caught the question in my mind, “how much will it cost?”, she immediately continued:
— Free!
Although I thought about something completely different …
It was stupid to refuse, especially since I never got a single sensible photo. I agreed.

After taking a few photos, Catherine II, to my surprise, somehow was in no hurry to return the camera to me. What was on her mind there is not known. Personally, it seemed to me that she inclines me to a joint photo, but for money. Otherwise, why would she waste her precious time on me?
And its not that I feel sorry for the money (by the way, I do not know how much it could cost), there was simply no desire.
