Why happy? Because after the information from the Georgian side that the rules of entry were simplified for Russians, they began to look for tickets to Georgia 6 times more often than in the last two previous months!

Let me remind you that not so long ago Georgia demanded that Russians present a so-called «covid passport» with marks on the passage of two stages of vaccination. Now the situation has changed radically. Russians, as well as tourists from the EU, the USA, Bahrain, Israel, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Switzerland, just need to present a negative PCR test done on time.
It should be noted that there is still no direct flight between Russia and Georgia, and land borders are closed.

As in the case with the Egyptian resorts of the Red Sea, Russians will have to get to Georgia either through Istanbul or through Minsk. Moreover, the tickets cannot be called cheap. So a ticket through Istanbul costs about 12,000 rubles. per person one way. Through Minsk, and at all 14000.
It is also worth noting that Russians will not be able to visit Georgia as part of an organized group. The recommendations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Federal Tourism Agency on unwanted group tours are still in force.
So, if you are going to Georgia, be prepared to organize hotel reservations, purchase tickets and your cultural and sightseeing activities on your own.
Fortunately, Georgia has something to see and where to relax. The country has developed excursion and beach tourism. Recently, the so-called wine and gastronomic tours are gaining momentum.
What is the reason for these indulgences for the Russians is still difficult to say. In any case, one thing is clear that tourism at the moment is little that #GORGIA has to offer the Russians.
So I think that you shouldnt neglect the opportunity to visit this country, but the choice is yours.
